UNEVOC-US Mission Statement

UNEVOC-US seeks to assist national and international TVET stakeholders to understand and implement the UNESCO goals of achieving high quality education for the world of work, and acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary for ensuring environmental protection, social progress, and economic development. We will meet these mandates through applied research, projects, policy development, capacity building, and dissemination.

UNEVOC-US will achieve this mission through the following activities:

A. Contribute to UNESCO's efforts to use TVET as a means to improve the human condition

B. Promote TVET as an essential component of national development planning, including the public and private sectors

C. Contribute to the generation, preservation, and dissemination of TVET best practices

D. Promote TVET as a viable and essential educational choice

E. Facilitate international collaboration and the exchange of information about TVET.
